Lt Gen Satish Dua, PVSM, UYSM, SM, VSM retired as the Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, which is responsible for synergizing capability development, perspective planning and jointness amongst the Services. A  former Corps Commander of Srinagar based 15 Corps, he has operated extensively in Jammu & Kashmir and the  Northeast during four decades of his service. A counter terrorism specialist, he has also served as the Defence Attache to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos for three years.
