Evolution Of India’s Africa Policy and Recent Developments

Shri Gurjit Singh our former ambassador to Germany , Indonesia , Asian , Ethiopia and the African Union gave a fantastic overview of India in Africa over the years. Most importantly he made me realise the depth and breadth of the Political and Human investment that India has made in Africa since the past eight decades. It towers well above whatever China or the West have done in that continent. I slept over it and woke up to realise the Indian investment into the 54 nations that compromise Africa has reached a critical mass which can reap rich dividends as India rises and seeks a greater role in world affairs. Hereafter India has to have a geo-economic game plan which enables this opportunity to be converted into tangible outcomes. It is a must watch for anyone who is interested in geopolitical affairs and strategy. There will be a follow up on this episode.
